How can I recharge my FASTag account?

You may recharge your FASTag account by making payment through cheque or online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ NEFT/ RTGS/ UPI or Internet Banking.

For customer whose KYC documents are received, the FASTag Account recharge limit is Rs. 1,00,000. For non-KYC customers, the recharge limit is Rs. 20,000 only.

Options to reload FASTag CUG Wallet (Online)

Payment Mode: Payment through ICICI Bank Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) free of any charge

Click on Recharge account > Select the CUG account and enter amount > Select Payment Mode
as Payment through ICICI Bank Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) free of any charge > Click on Make Payment > Login with CIB credentials >Enter OTP, complete the transaction.

Payment Mode: Pay by Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Internet Banking

Click on Recharge account > Select Pay to CUG Wallet > Enter Amount > Select Payment mode as Pay by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking > Click on Make payment > Click on the cards or Internet Banking as per requirement.

1. For Credit Card/ Debit Card transactions: Enter 16-digit card number, expiry date, CVV > Authenticate with OTP
2. For Internet Banking options: Enter respective bank’s User ID, Password > Authenticate with OTP > Follow the steps

Payment Mode: NEFT/ RTGS/ IMPS with IFSC code

1. ICICI Bank users:
Login to Internet Banking > PAYMENTS & TRANSFER> Fund Transfer > Select 'An account in other bank through NEFT, RTGS or IMPS with IFSC code' > Add Payee.

Validate and initiate NEFT/ RTGS after 30 minutes

2. Non-ICICI Bank users:
Customers should add Payee in their bank accounts on NEFT/ RTGS module enter the below requiered details and complete transactions.

Validate and initiate NEFT/RTGS transaction.

Note:
Once the fund transfer is completed within 4-5 business hours, amount shall be loaded on the CUG wallet

the CUG transaction reflects in the payment history.

Click on Recharge account > Select Pay to Tag Accounts > Enter Amount > Select Payment Mode as Pay by NEFT > Voucher Number generated > Click on Generate Challan > Follow the instructions mentioned in the challan > Make an NEFT/ RTGS transfer with the exact details mentioned in the challan.

Payment Mode: Payment through ICICI Bank Retail Internet Banking (RIB)
Click on Recharge account > Select Pay to Tag Accounts > Enter Amount > Select Payment mode as Payment through ICICI Bank Retail Internet Banking (RIB) > Click on Make payment > Login to Internet Banking with your User ID and Password and complete your transaction.

How do I generate/ reset my FASTag username and password?

Once your FASTag account is created, please login to the customer portal and register yourself to generate your User ID and Password. Please enter the required information in the prompts and the system will send an SMS with your login details to your registered mobile number. You may call our toll-free Customer Care on 1860-267-0104 for assistance.

I have new vehicle fitted with RFID Tag. How to get it activated?

We are exploring ways to use these tags for ETC , however it will require some new technical development. It will also be subject to tag being in proper condition without any damage or tampering.

How can I recharge my FASTag account with UPI?

Please login to FASTag portal with your username, password. Visit Recharge account, select UPI, enter amount to recharge, in the Virtual Payment Address field, enter the payer VPA (from which the recharge amount shall be deducted) and proceed. After clicking on “Make payment” on the website, a voucher shall be generated. Please login to the payment app, where the payer VPA is mapped. Under UPI-Pending UPI transaction you shall find a transaction from etctolltag@icici. Once authorized, the payment status shall be updated shortly and can be viewed from customer portal.

You can now recharge your ICICI Bank FASTag Account from any UPI based payment app.

Please go to the payment app’s UPI module and send money to Virtual Payment Address (VPA) option.

Format of VPA: netc. (Vehicle number)@icici

For tag loading:

Example:-

  • Netc.mh01ab1234@icici (10-digit vehicle number)
  • Netc.TN99R9999@icici (9-digit vehicle number)

Please ensure that the correct vehicle number, Customer ID is mentioned in the VPA. The payment will not be processed with incorrect Customer IDs.

What is the validity period of FASTag card?

The tag has a validity of 5 years and after purchasing, you only need to recharge/ top up the tag as per your requirement.

I have two vehicles, can I use one FASTag for two vehicles?

Can I access my ICICI Bank FASTag Account through any application?

Currently FASTag Account can be accessed through ICICI Bank Pockets application.

 

For new Pockets users:


Go to Google Play Store and download the Pockets application. During Pockets app account authentication, use the same mobile number registered for FASTag for a seamless experience. After authentication and setting the PIN, log in to Pockets app and click on the FASTag icon. Enter FASTag Customer ID. If the mobile number registered for Pockets app and FASTag is same and OTP is generated, user will be allowed to access his or her FASTag Account.

 

For existing Pockets users:


Log in to the updated Pockets application and click on the FASTag icon. To access the FASTag Account, the mobile number registered for Pockets and ICICI Bank FASTag needs to be the same.

 

Features available in Pockets app:

 

  • View vehicle wise and Common User Group (CUG) balances
  • View transactions
  • Recharge CUG and tag balance from Pockets app balance, directly from ICICI Bank Account balance
  • CUG to tag balance transfer.

I reside within 10 Km of a particular Toll plaza. Do I need to take FASTag to get the concessions available for local vehicles?

You will need to submit your documents to the concessionaire validating your residence within 10km of a particular plaza. Once it is verified, you may avail the concession on the FASTag assigned to your vehicle

How would I cross toll plaza, if ETC equipment are not working?

In case ETC equipment are not working and your FASTag account is having sufficient balance, please pay the toll fee in cash at the plaza. Additionally, please call our customer care and also report the issue with the concessionaire.

How to I update my Vehicle number in the system?

Please raise a ticket on the portal under account registration and attach the RC copy. Alternatively you can call the call center on 1800 210 0104 to raise a request, once the request is raised please attach RC to it to complete the request. Vehicle number will be changed within 1 working day.

Is there any discount / cashback on Toll payments using FASTag?

You can avail cashback of 2.5% on all Toll payments at the national highways only, using FASTag in FY 2019-20. The cashback amount for a particular month will be credited back to your FASTag account in the subsequent month, post receiving the funds from Indian Highway Management Company Limited (IHMCL).

 

Note: Cashback amount is calculated and credited basis the settlement dates captured in EGCS system of NPCI. The time gap between a transaction occurring and settlement happening can be up to 3 days. Due to this, cashback on such transactions which happen on the last couple of days of any calendar month can only be credited in the next cashback cycle.

 

Cashback will be applicable on the following:

  • Cashback will be paid to eligible Customers Only.
  • Cashback is applicable only on the transactions done on National Highways Toll Plaza.
  • The intention of this scheme is to drive digital payments in India. Any misuse/manipulation intended or unintended will make the customer ineligible for the Cashback.
  • Decision of NHAI is final and binding on all scheme related issue.
  • NHAI reserves the right to change/edit modify the scheme mechanics without any prior notifications.

My online Tag application is on ‘Hold’ or ‘pending for active’ status. How can I activate the Tag Account?

A. This occurs when the applicant has either

  1. Declared or uploaded either an incorrect Registration Certificate (RC) or Identity ID proof details or copy respectively.
  2. RC details and/or ID proof details are not uploaded properly and hence not readable
  3. Tag application is for other than Class 4 (car, jeep and light motor vehicles only) as mentioned in the RC.

For points 1 and 2, you can activate the Tag Account by providing the correct RC and/or ID proof details by clicking on the link below:

Upload RC Copy

  1. Enter Tag ID number (starting with 1XXXXXXX)
  2. Enter the applicant’s date of birth as provided during Tag Account registration
    1. On providing the correct details the screen will further open for the following details
  3. Enter vehicle number plate details
  4. Upload RC copy. Kindly ensure the vehicle number plate and vehicle class in the RC copy is properly readable

Upload ID Proof

  1. Enter Tag ID number (starting with 1XXXXXXX)
  2. Enter the applicant’s date of birth as provided during Tag Account registration
    1. On providing the correct details the screen will further open for the following details
  3. Select any one of the officially valid ID proof documents from the drop down
  4. Enter the unique ID proof document number as present on the ID proof
  5. Upload ID proof copy. Kindly ensure the ID proof number is properly readable

I have FASTag and also balance amount, but I could not go through ETC lane. How do I get my FASTag checked/ rectified to see whether it is active or not?

What are the KYC documents required to apply for FASTag for Individual vehicle owner?

Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID Card, Aadhar Card (with address).A valid driving license would be sufficient for Address & ID proof.

What will happen to the account balance on lost Tag (FASTag)?

Once you take a new FASTag account, we will transfer the balance to the new account from lost FASTag.

Is there any minimum value for FASTag recharge / top up?

Yes, the minimum recharge amount is Rs.100.00.

What are the documents needed to apply for FASTag?

You will need to carry original as well as copy of your KYC document

 

You need to submit the following documents along with the application for FASTag:

  1. Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle.
  2. Passport size photograph of the vehicle owner
  3. KYC documents as per the category of the vehicle owner:

Our representative will provide you an application form, which you need fill and submit.

All required documents for FASTag should be in the name of the owner of the vehicle. If car owner is not present at the time of application, driver will need to submit his photo ID proof.

A valid driving license would be sufficient for Address & ID proof.

With effect from December 01, 2015, convenience fee will be levied to all the ICICI Bank FASTag Customers for executing "Online TAG Recharge" transactions. The rate of convenience fee will be levied based on the type of transactions.

Why full user fee (toll) is to be paid although we travel a small length on the project road?

In India, the tolling is generally under the open system, whereby fee payable is a fixed amount based on the length of stretch under one project which is normally 60 kilometers. If a stretch is of lesser length, user fee of actual length only is collected.

What do I have to do if I lost my RFID Tag? What will happen to the account balance?

You will need to call our customer care number to block your FASTag. Once you take a new account, we will transfer the balance to the new account.

Why the FASTag user fee (toll) rate is different at 2 Toll Plazas?

User fee on a particular fee plaza is based on stretch length under that plaza, structures (bridge, tunnel, bypass) and width of the highways, applicable fee rules and provisions of the concessions agreement.

Can FASTag be used for passage through toll plazas on the state highways

FASTag can be used on all toll plazas where it has been implemented. You can check the list of Plazas - www.icicibank.com/fastag. However the cashback of 5% is applicable on toll payments using FASTag on the national highways only.

How would I know that the correct user fee has been deducted from my FASTag account?

You will receive an SMS alert on your registered phone number each time a balance is deducted from your FASTag account.

Do I need to use any specific lane at the toll plaza for FASTag?

Yes, you will have to use the lanes demarcated for FASTag.
