What should I do if my ICICI Bank Unifare DMRC Debit Card gets damaged or is not readable at the Metro stations?

In case your ICICI Bank Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Card is not readable at the Metro stations, please visit the Customer Service window at the station for resolution of the issue. If the issue persists, please contact ICICI Bank Customer Care. ICICI Bank will close your existing Debit Card and send you a new Debit Card. You will also need to deactivate the Auto Recharge facility on your existing Delhi Metro Transit Chip by visiting the Customer Service window at any of the designated Delhi Metro stations. The balance on the Delhi Metro Transit Chip will however not be transferable to the new Debit Card.

How and where will the Auto Top-Up get triggered?

The Auto Top-Up will automatically get triggered when you tap the card at the entry gate at Auto Top-Up enabled Delhi Metro stations*, if the balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip is lower than the threshold limit. You will be able to view the updated balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip at the station gate when you exit at your destination station.

Whom should I contact if I want to deactivate the Auto Recharge facility for Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Cards?

For deactivation, please visit the Customer Service window at any of the designated Delhi Metro stations with your ICICI Bank Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Card. Please note that once deactivated, the Auto Recharge facility cannot be reactivated on your card. If you wish to avail the Auto Recharge facility again, please make a request for a Replacement Card** by calling our Customer Care.
**Replacement charges as applicable will be levied.

If I have an ICICI Bank Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Card and a Delhi Metro smart card, can I use both the cards for a single journey?

Please make sure to use the same card at the entry and exit during a single journey to avoid inconvenience. Use of different cards for the same journey might attract penalty as per Delhi Metro rules.

What is threshold limit in Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Cards?

Threshold limit is the balance amount (on the Delhi Metro Transit chip) at which the auto recharge instruction will be executed automatically. The threshold limit is ₹50 i.e. when the balance on the Delhi Metro Transit chip drops below ₹50, an auto recharge amount of ₹200 will be credited to the Delhi Metro Transit chip after the automatic deduction from the Bank Account.

How does the ICICI Bank Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Card offer features of a Debit Card as well as a Delhi Metro Smart Card?

This dual purpose card can be used for travelling in the Delhi Metro, ATM cash withdrawals and retail and online Debit Card transactions at over 22 million establishments worldwide. The card contains a Delhi Metro Transit chip embedded along with the Debit Card Chip.

What is Auto Recharge for Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Cards?

Auto top-up is a standing instruction on your credit card for loading of the DMRC smart card. In this facility the auto top-up amount is credited to the DMRC smart card automatically when the balance on the DMRC smart card drops below the threshold limit.

Threshold limit is the balance amount lying on DMRC smart card at which the auto top-up instruction will be executed. The threshold limit is INR 100 i.e. when the balance on the DMRC smart card drops below INR 100, auto top-up amount of INR 200 will be credited in your DMRC smart card.

What will happen to the Delhi Metro Transit Chip in case I wish to close my Debit Card and get a regular Debit Card?

To close the Delhi Metro Debit Card and to get a regular Debit Card, you will have to call our Customer Care. You will also need to deactivate the Auto Recharge facility on your Delhi Metro Transit Chip by visiting the Customer Service window at any of the designated Delhi Metro stations.

 

Simultaneously, a new request for a regular Debit Card will be taken and sent to your address. Standard reissuance charges of the new Debit Card will be applicable.

Will I get an SMS whenever the Auto Recharge is triggered on my Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Cards?

You will not receive an SMS when the Auto Recharge is triggered on the Delhi Metro Transit chip in your Debit Card, but you will receive an SMS once your Bank Account is subsequently debited with the Auto Recharge amount.

What happens if the Auto Recharge facility on Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Cards remains unused for a long period of time?

The Auto Recharge facility on the card remains active unless the customer has placed a request for deactivation of the same.

How many DMRC smart cards can be linked with one credit/ debit card?

One credit/ debit card can be linked with a maximum of three DMRC smart cards.

What is DMRC Unifare debit card?

ICICI Bank Unifare Credit/Debit Card is a unique combination of a Delhi Metro Smart card and an ICICI Bank Credit/Debit Card in one. It has the features of both the cards such that the customer can use the same card for all retail and online purchases like a regular credit/debit card as well as use the card to travel on the Delhi Metro as it has the Delhi Metro chip in it.

What will happen if the Auto Recharge has not been executed because of authorisation failure (due to any reason e.g. insufficient funds) on my ICICI Bank Unifare DMRC Coral Debit Card?

In case of authorisation failure on the Card due to any reason, the Auto Recharge facility on the Delhi Metro Transit chip in the Card will be suspended. To continue using this facility, please visit the Customer Service window at Delhi Metro stations where the Auto Recharge facility can be enabled* and pay an amount of ₹200 in cash, towards the previous Auto Recharge transaction. *List of stations mentioned above

What are the charges for a Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) Coral Debit Card?

DMRC Coral Debit Card charges are as follows:

Joining fee: ₹599 plus Goods and Service Tax

Annual fee: ₹599 plus Goods and Service Tax

Notes:
• Annual fee will be charged from the second year onwards
• Joining fee will only be charged for the 1st year
• Re-issuance of a Unifare Coral Debit Card for any reason will attract re-issuance charges of ₹199 + Goods and Service Tax
• ₹100 will be deducted from your linked ICICI Bank Account for recharge on the Delhi Metro Transit Chip on issuance of the Debit Card

Please note that 18% Goods and Service Tax (GST) w.e.f. July 1, 2017 is applicable on the charges.
