Name transfer (Transfer of ownership):
• If you transfer your vehicle on some other person’s name, the insurance also needs to be transferred on the new owner’s name.
• To get the insurance transferred in the new owner’s name, please visit our nearest branch with:
1. Endorsed copy of Registration Certificate/ Form 29 and Form 30 along with seller request letter for transfer of ownership
2. Proposal form filled and signed by the new owner of the vehicle
3. Vehicle inspection report if the difference between the date of transfer and request for endorsement is greater than 14 days
4. These changes might affect the premium charged, so please carry a cheque along

Addition of LPG/ CNG kit/ Electrical/ Non-electrical accessories

Yes, you can renew your policy online, starting 60 days before the expiry of your existing policy. In case your vehicle insurance policy has already expired, our authorised surveyor will inspect the vehicle, before policy issuance. The policy would only be issued subject to a satisfactory inspection and submission of required documents.

If I go for Cashless Hospitalisation how will Claim Service Guarantee work in Health Booster Policy?

In case of delay in response by ICICI Lombard beyond the time period of 4 hours (3 hours for enhancement, query & final bill), we shall be liable to pay ₹1,000 to the customer. Our maximum liability in respect of a single hospitalisation shall, at no time exceed ₹1,000.

ARAI stands for Automotive Research Association of India. If you have installed an ARAI approved anti-theft device in your vehicle, whose installation is dully certified by the agency, you can get a discount of 2.5% on the Own Damage (OD) premium subject to maximum of ₹500.

What is Third Party Liability cover? Is it covered in Car Insurance Policy?

Third Party Liability insurance covers losses to a third person who is not a party to the insurance contract. The Motor Third Party insurance covers the following losses:

• Any permanent injury / death to a person caused by your insured vehicle
• Any damage caused to the property (excluding vehicle) of some other individual by your insured vehicle

Liability is covered for an unlimited amount in respect of death or injury. Any damage to third party property is covered up to ₹7.5 lakh in case of Private Car and ₹1 lakh in case of Two-wheeler.

Would I be able to avail of my medical & premium reimbursements in case my Complete Health Insurance Policy is rejected?

In the event that your policy is rejected, you can definitely avail of premium reimbursements within 7 working days. However, we would not be able to reimburse your medical check-up expenses.

What are the steps for cash settlement in Complete Health Insurance Policy?

Cash settlement is only available at network hospitals. Pre-authorisation request to be made -
• At least 48 hours before a planned hospitalisation and
• Within 24 hours of emergency hospitalisation

Steps involved-
• Admission in network hospital
• Fax the pre-authorisation form along with relevant documents (Investigation reports, Previous consultation papers if any, Cashless ID, Photo ID)
• Review of claim request by Company(as per policy terms & conditions
• Claim settlement by Company (as per policy terms & conditions) with the hospital after completion of all formalities

What is the difference between Top Up & Super Top Up in Health Booster Policy?

For a Top Up Plan, deductible will apply for every hospitalisation except for claims made for any one illness. In case of an accident where more than one member of a family is hospitalised, deductible will apply on the aggregate claim amount. For Super Top Up Plan, deductible will apply on aggregate basis for all hospitalisation expenses during the policy year. The deductible will apply on individual basis in case of individual policy and on floater basis in case of floater policy

Is a medical test mandatory for everyone in Complete Health Insurance Policy?

What is Cashless Claim and Non-cashless/ Reimbursement Claim in Car Insurance Policy?

Cashless Claim: In cashless claim facility, the repair charges of the vehicle are directly paid to the garage by us, provided the vehicle is repaired in our garage network. Non-cashless/ Reimbursement Claim: If the vehicle is repaired in a garage outside the purview of our network, then you will be liable to pay the repair charges of the garage. You can get your claim amount reimbursed by submitting the original bills and payment receipts to our office.

When do I have to renew in my Health Booster Policy?

You should renew your policy prior to expiry date of your policy. We give you a grace period of 30 days after expiry date of the policy, within which you can renew the policy without making a fresh application. During this period, you will not be covered for any ailments or accidents but the same policy can be continued. However, it is best that you pay your renewal premium while your policy is still in force so that you can enjoy uninterrupted coverage.

If I have a LPG/ CNG kit fitted in the car that is not endorsed in the RC, can I take a policy?

Policy will only be issued if the LPG/ CNG kit is duly endorsed on the Registration Certificate (RC) by the concerned RTO.

What is the duration under Garage cash cover in Car Insurance Policy?

The duration for which the company will be liable for claim in respect of this add on will be considered from the day after the insured vehicle is delivered to the garage till the day immediately preceding the date of discharge or date of invoice for such repair as prepared by the garage, whichever is earlier.

Why a list of items is not required in Home Insurance policy?

Therefore, the specific and detailed listing of your contents is not always necessary when you buy home insurance from us. However, preserving the bills helps in faster claims settlement. In Home Insurance policy how do I calculate the value of the structure?

In home insurance policy, the structure of your home is insured for its reconstruction value (and not for the market value). This value is the cost incurred to reconstruct the home if it is damaged. On the other hand, market value of your home is a combination of cost of land, demand and supply scenario, etc. The sum insured is calculated by multiplying the built up area of your home with the construction rate per sq. feet, e.g. if the built up area of your home is 1000 sq. feet and the construction rate is ₹1800 per sq. feet, the sum insured for your home structure is ₹18,00,000

What is the procedure to cancel the Health Booster policy?

The policy can be cancelled by giving a 15 days’ written notice. Premium refund will be on short-term basis for the unexpired policy period as per the rates detailed below, provided no claim has been payable under the policy.

How can I cancel my Health Bosster policy before the expiry date?

A) Free look period: You can cancel and return your policy within 15 days of receiving it by sending us the free look request form available on our website or by submitting written notice to the company either through registered post or from your registered e-mail address.

You can also call us on our toll-free number 1800 2666 and let us know if you would like to cancel the policy. If you avail of this feature, the premium will be returned to you.

B) If you wish to cancel the policy after the free look period but before the expiry date, you can do so by following the same process as above. We shall refund premium on the short-term rates (as specified in policy wordings Part III) for the policy period remaining.

C) Premium refund will be done through NEFT mode only, please send us a duly filled and signed NEFT form available on our website.

What do you mean by the floater option in Health Booster Policy?

In a floater option, a single policy under one Sum Insured covers all members of the family. For e.g., 2 adults, 2 adults and 1 child, 1 adult and 2 children, 2 adults and 3 children, 1 adult and 2 children, 1 adult and 1 child. The Sum Insured (SI) can be used by anyone in the family or all covered in the policy multiple times till the time the limit is exhausted.
