If I go for Cashless Hospitalisation how will Claim Service Guarantee work in Health Booster Policy?

In case of delay in response by ICICI Lombard beyond the time period of 4 hours (3 hours for enhancement, query & final bill), we shall be liable to pay ₹1,000 to the customer. Our maximum liability in respect of a single hospitalisation shall, at no time exceed ₹1,000.

Which diseases are covered under First 2 Years Exclusions in Complete Health Insurance Policy?

Following ailments / treatments would not be covered in the first two years of the Period of Insurance

• Cataract*
• Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy
• Myomectomy, Endometriosis, Hysterectomy unless because of malignancy
• All types of Hernia, Hydrocele
• Fissures &/or Fistula in anus, haemorrhoids/piles
• Arthritis, gout, rheumatism and spinal disorders
• Joint replacements unless due to accident
• Sinusitis and related disorders
• Stones in the urinary and biliary systems
• Dilatation and curettage Endometriosis
• All types of Skin and internal tumors/ cysts/nodules/ polyps of any kind including breast lumps unless malignant
• Dialysis required for chronic renal failure
• Surgery on tonsils, adenoids and sinuses
• Gastric and Duodenal erosions & ulcers
• Deviated Nasal Septum
• Varicose Veins / Varicose Ulcers
* After 2 years of continuous coverage with us, a sub-limit of ₹20,000 per eye will be applicable for sum insured less or equal to ₹5 lakh and ₹1 lakh per eye for sum inured greater than ₹5 lakh during each Policy Year.

Name transfer (Transfer of ownership):
• If you transfer your vehicle on some other person’s name, the insurance also needs to be transferred on the new owner’s name.
• To get the insurance transferred in the new owner’s name, please visit our nearest branch with:
1. Endorsed copy of Registration Certificate/ Form 29 and Form 30 along with seller request letter for transfer of ownership
2. Proposal form filled and signed by the new owner of the vehicle
3. Vehicle inspection report if the difference between the date of transfer and request for endorsement is greater than 14 days
4. These changes might affect the premium charged, so please carry a cheque along

Addition of LPG/ CNG kit/ Electrical/ Non-electrical accessories

• Invoice copy of the CNG kit/ Electrical/ Non-electrical accessories and endorsed RC (with LPG/ CNG) or letter with the declaration value

In case your vehicle insurance policy has already expired, our authorised surveyor will inspect the vehicle, before policy issuance. The policy would only be issued subject to a satisfactory inspection and submission of required documents.

The documents required to cancel the policy by the customers are as follows
• Customer Request Letter
• Alternate policy proof (TP / Comprehensive)
• Original Policy Copy

• NOC from financer if the vehicle is seized by the financerer.

ARAI stands for Automotive Research Association of India. If you have installed an ARAI approved anti-theft device in your vehicle, whose installation is dully certified by the agency, you can get a discount of 2.5% on the Own Damage (OD) premium subject to maximum of ₹500.

What is the minimum entry age for this policy? What is the exit age for Health Booster policy?

Minimum entry age is 6 years for individual plan and 3 months for floater plan. There is no maximum exit age for this policy.

In Home Insurance policy how do I calculate the value of contents?

The contents are assessed on the market value of the items. This means that if there were a loss, the claim would be paid on the value of purchasing a similar new item less depreciation for the usage.

What are the various types of vehicles that I can insure online?

Would I receive confirmation on the changes done in the Health Booster Policy?

Any changes made in the policy during the policy period will be made through an endorsement. All the endorsements will be confirmed with an endorsement letter, which is sent to the customer after the changes are made.

In case of an accident, when should I report to the police in Two Wheeler policy?

Insurance works on good faith. We as an insurance company trust our customers. Therefore, the specific and detailed listing of your contents is not always necessary when you buy home insurance from us. However, preserving the bills helps in faster claims settlement. In the absence of bills, alternate evidence will be taken into consideration.

In Car Insurance Policy does the insured have to pay the difference if the actual expenses are more than the cover?

Yes. For example, if the insured has a cover of ₹10,000 for maternity and incurs an expense of ₹15,000 then the insured will have to pay ₹5,000.

In Home Insurance policy how do I calculate the value of the structure?

In home insurance policy, the structure of your home is insured for its reconstruction value (and not for the market value). This value is the cost incurred to reconstruct the home if it is damaged. On the other hand, market value of your home is a combination of cost of land, demand and supply scenario, etc. The sum insured is calculated by multiplying the built up area of your home with the construction rate per sq. feet, e.g. if the built up area of your home is 1000 sq. feet and the construction rate is ₹1800 per sq. feet, the sum insured for your home structure is ₹18,00,000

If I rent out my house will my tenants be also covered under Home Insurance Policy?

The person who is the rightful owner can take an insurance cover for an asset. If you own the building, you will have to take Building Insurance for the civil structure. In case your tenants want to insure their belongings, they have to buy insurance for their contents separately.
